Black Men Are 6% of Population, But 40% of Unarmed People Shot by Police

A disproportionate number of black men are being shot by police, according to stop-and-frisk (1)a Washington Post investigation.
The investigation found that 40 percent of the 60 unarmed people who have died in police shootings this year were black males, even though black men comprise only 6 percent of the U.S. population.
According to the Post, black men are seven times more likely to die in police shootings than white men.
